Been away for a while.

So, it’s been several months since my last blog entry and I have really been lacking on it.  I don’t have any followers anyway so I figured it really wouldn’t make a difference.  The NBA Finals begin tomorrow Thursday June 4th and I have a strong feeling that the Orlando Magic will beat the L.A. Lakers.  I know they have Kobe and all that jazz but the Magic REALLY impressed me in the series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.  They really put it to the Cavs and their bench impressed me big time.  The Magic, on any given night, have at least 6 scoring threats either off the dribble, in the paint or behind the 3 point line.  The Lakers, as I see it, have 3 scoring threats being Kobe, Gasol, or Ariza.  The thing that the Lakers have is Finals experience having lost last seasons Championship to the Celtics.  Anyway, I predict the Magic will win the Championship in 6 games.  Most people will call me crazy but as I see it the Cavs “should” be playing tomorrow and NOT the Magic.  Enjoy the games folks!

The Bears have a Pro Bowl QB!

I know I’m Johnny-Come-Lately to the party but it I finally got around to the Bears trading for Jay Cutler of the Broncos for two 1st round draft picks a 3rd round pick and QB Kyle Orton.  Let me be the first to openly admit that I was very critical of the way Jay Cutler handled the situation in Denver and the way he interacted with new Head Coach Josh McDaniels.  I know that Cutler is a talented QB and has proven his abilities on the field but when I found out of the trade I had mixed feelings about it.  I didn’t know whether to be happy or pissed about it but soon became pleased with the move.  I was looking forward to seeing just what Kyle Orton had to offer in his first full season of being named the starter without having to worry about Rex Grossman coming in for him if he made too many mistakes.  I truly feel that Denver will continue to mold Orton into a formidable quarterback that will one day return to Chicago and beat the hell out of us.

I also feel that Josh McDaniels has a lot of growing up to do with the way he conducted himself during this whole fiasco.  I feel that he is the ultimate reason for Cutler leaving the Broncos and that McDaniels will find himself being ousted in Denver within 3-4 seasons.  He doesn’t seem very ready to take the reins of a football team mentally or maturely.  He seems very Sophomoric and just because he’s learned under Bill Belichick doesn’t mean that he will have the same success.  I don’t wish him any ill will but I know he will eventually pain himself into a corner and pay the ultimate price.  Good luck to the Denver Broncos with Kyle Orton as QB and I am very anxious for the NFL Draft to see what the Bears will do with their remaining picks as well as the start of the upcoming season!!!

It’s almost that time again!

On March 31st I was treated by my father to an exhibition baseball game between the Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Los Angeles Dodgers at Tucson Electric Park located in Tucson, Arizona.  It was the first “pro” baseball game I had gone to in over 10 years and it was great!  Growing up on the East Coast I was in the center of many different baseball clubs especially living in Central New Jersey I had my pick of the Mets, Yankees, Phillies and Orioles not to mention the endless number of Minor League teams like the Trenton Thunder, Lakewood Blue Claws, Newark Bears, Brooklyn Cyclones to name a few.

Anyway, my point to this story is once again we are on the cusp of the new MLB 2009 season and although I am miles away from my N.Y. Mets I am growing ever more anxious to get this season running and gunning.  With any luck I’ll be treated to a free preview of the MLB Extra Innings package like Cox Communications did last season and catch a few Mets home games.  The start of a new baseball season is like starting a new relationship with a beautiful, fun, intelligent woman who loves to drink beer, doesn’t hound you about going out with the guys and likes watching porno and we all fall in love with her year in and year out.  Enjoy the new season and I hope lady baseball doesn’t break your heart.  LETS GO METS GO!!!!

A holiday for men....finally!!!

Today is March 14, 2009 and it has been brought to my attention that on this day every year is Steak and a blow job day, which is an answer to Valentines Day for men. It's something we all love, a nice big slab of cooked dead cow then a nice hot cock suck to finish off the day.

In this picture is the first step in my wife and I taking part in festivities and boy was it good :-). We will complete the day shortly and then drift off into dream land. I can't explain how joyus I was when I found out about this beautiful day, albeit the U.S. doesn't acknowledge it as an official holiday but then again who deemed New Years Eve such a great holiday? Well, I'll keep this short and wish everyone a very Happy Steak and a Blow Job Day to you and yours. Time to fire off some rocket sauce bye-bye!

P.S. I would like to thank one of my favorite adult industry starlet Kelly Shibari for bringing this to my attention and supplying the twitter nation with the link to the website! Thanks Kelly, you sexy ass creature you are the best :-)

Time to rethink their choice

As it goes, Lane Kiffin, the new head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers football program has done nothing but embarrass the program by calling the Florida Gators cheaters, called Urban Meyer a cheat when it comes to recruiting.  In his latest disgrace to the program, he was accused of telling a High School recruit that was undecided on the Tennessee Volunteers or the South Carolina Game Cocks that if he chose S. C. over Tennessee the recruit would wind up “pumping gas” after graduating.  Coach Kiffin has denied the allegations but it just seems like he’s trying to cover his ass for saying such a ridiculous thing.

I did have sympathy for Coach Kiffin when he was fired by the Oakland Raiders last season but now I see that maybe his dismissal was warranted on his own accord.  Lane Kiffin is the son of Monte Kiffin who, in the NFL, is revered as a football Genius.  I find it very difficult to believe that his own flesh and blood is so dumb and careless when he speaks in public.  Lane Kiffin hasn’t coach a single game for the Volunteers, yet the schools Athletic Director has had to make excuses and apologize for his behavior thus far.

I have a sneaking suspicion that  Lane Kiffin will find himself without work if his stupid, childish antics continue to bring negative headlines to a once storied program that has been in a decline and irrelevance for the past decade or so.

Stirring the pot

So A-Fraud got caught with his dick in the punch bowl and his image is now tainted for all eternity.  I now find my Yankees fans making excuses for him and trying to reason as to why he did what he did but it's all in vain because the story keeps getting worse and worse for him.  The Yankees signed all of those free agents and will now be distracted by this circus brought on by self-centered Alex Rodriguez.  I feel they will still be competitive within their division but I feel they're hopes of reaching the World Series are cursed.  I've said it from the day he was signed by the Yankees and I'll say it again, The New York Yankees will NOT win another World Series until A-Roid is no longer with them.

There is also a big shake up in the NFL now with the free agency frenzy going on and the NFL Draft just weeks away.  My beloved Chicago Bears have done very little in free agency and have only signed a new OT in Frank Omiyale and have not addressed their need for Wide Receivers or a lock down Safety.  Meanwhile several other teams have done very well in the frenzy of talented players available.  I do know this, if GM Jerry Angelo thinks he's going to piece together a Superbowl caliber team through the draft alone he will be looking for work like the rest of us slobs at the end of this coming season.  Mr. Angelo I beg you to go and get some of those talented veteran players to make our team respectable again.

Karma's a bitch...

Well, it had come to light that Alex Rodriguez failed not one but two drug tests for anabolic steroids in 2003.  The same year he won the AL MVP award and the Home Run Title in his final season with the Texas Rangers.  It was hushed up then and now Sports Illustrated has brought it to light.  It was only a few days after the Mitchell Report came out that A-Fraud said in an interview on CBS' 60 Minutes that he's "never needed to use performance enhancing drug because he's never felt outmatched on the field."  When he was contacted for comment he now says that he's not saying anything and to talk to the Players Union concerning the allegations.

So, now what?  Since this occurred 6 years ago there's nothing they can do to him but I feel the punishment will be a long and slow one.  The kid they tagged as "the best their is, was and ever will be" is not looking so golden anymore.  Any records he breaks or any accolades he receives will come with a lot of scrutiny from not only his peers but most importantly the fans of the game.  We are no longer in an era that "pure" ball players come to our cities and teams to play this Countries all time favorite game on an even playing field.
